The National Testing Agency has announced that it has changed the exam dates of JEE (Main) April 2020. The new exam dates are April 05, 07, 08, 09 and 11, 2020. As per the earlier notice, the JEE (Main) second attempt exam was supposed to be held from April 3 to April 9, 2020.
There is no particular reason provided by the testing agency for the change in dates. The new schedule was conveyed with the result of the recently concluded January exam. All the Engineering, architecture and planning aspirants all across the country who are looking forward to appearing in the JEE Main 2020 April exam can take note of the new dates.
The first attempt exam dates for JEE (Main) were from 7th January till 9th January 2020. There is one more day in the second attempt at JEE (Main) exam of the year. During the first attempt JEE (Main) was conducted for 4 days but during the second attempt it was discussed that the exam will be conducted for 5 days. It is estimated by the authorities that there will be a greater number of candidates who would be appearing in the second attempt of JEE (Main) 2020 in comparison to the first attempt.
In the January attempt, the B.Tech paper was held from January 07-09, 2020 with two shifts each day, in almost 233 cities in the country and abroad. A total of 9,21,261 candidates had registered for the JEE (Main) exam out of which a total of 8,69,010 students appeared for the same. The JEE (Main) paper consists of Multiple Choice and Numerical Value questions. NTA conducts the exam twice a year. The advantage of the conducting the exam twice a year is that the best percentile of the candidate is calculated for the final result.
For the upcoming JEE (Main) April 2020 exam, candidates will be able to fill in the application form from February 07, 2020, on the official site, the last date to apply will be March 07, 2020. Candidates will get a day to submit the application fee for the same which means that they can submit the fees till March 08, 2020. If a candidate who has already applied for the January session, then for the next exam, they will be required to straightaway go to the login window and enter the January login details such as the application number and password and fill in the other details such as the choice of the paper, language, exam centre and lastly pay the application fee. Whereas, on the other hand, if the candidates have not applied for the earlier January exam, then they have to fill in the fresh application form and submit it by filling in the apt details in the form.
After the JEE (Main) April exam 2020, the ranks of the shortlisted candidates will be released taking into consideration the better of the two scores.

The result for JEE (Main) 2020 for the January session was declared on January 17, 2020, while the result for JEE (Main) April session is expected to be released by April 30, 2020.
