Cricket is followed like a religion in India. It is the most important and popular sport played in our country. All of us get extremely emotional whenever there is a cricket match going on especially if India is playing! While you know what Indian cricketers are good at, do you also know that some of them are highly educated? Here is a list of the most educated Indian cricketers:

- Rahul Dravid:
Who does not know this legend? He was the former captain of the Indian cricket team and is one of the best batsmen the world has ever seen. While he is an exceptional cricketer, he always took his studies very seriously. He holds a graduation degree in Commerce and was selected in the Indian National Cricket team while studying MBA.

- Suresh Raina:
He is a left-handed, middle-order batsman and off-spin bowler for the Indian National Cricket Team. He has captained the Indian cricket team and is the 2nd youngest player to captain India. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

All of us know him for his great leadership qualities and for when the success he achieved in his time. He was also the Captain in test cricket. He hasn’t only achieved success in cricket, Kumble always made sure he worked hard and got a good education. He is an Engineer and he got his B.E from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering!

Laxman is famous for his amazing timing and ability to hit against the spin. He was a right handed batsman and also bowls off-spin. Ashwin is an Indian International cricketer. He is the right-handed batsman and right arm-off break bowler. His success in the field of cricket has been recognised immensely by people. He holds a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from the SSN College of Engineering, Chennai.

He is in Indian International cricketer and represents Mumbai in domestic cricket. He is a right hand batsman. He broke the world record for the maximum number of catches in a Test match with 8 in the first Test of 2015 tour of Sri Lanka. He also excelled in his education and holds a degree in Bachelor of Commerce.

He is a former Indian cricketer and currently is the ICC Match Referee. He is one of India’s finest fast bowlers and till date remains the only Indian fast bowler to take more than 300 wickets in ODIs. He always followed his passion with great determination but he never ignored his education. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation Technology from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysuru.
