The key to performing well in an examination is to be well prepared not only academically but also in other aspects that can make a huge difference. NEET 2018 is just around the corner, and we are sure, by now the candidates must have made it a point to follow their stringent preparation schedule. And why not? The road to NEET is a tough one and it’s easy to be bogged down by the magnitude of the NEET syllabus. Now that only a few days are left for the big day, here are a few FAQs that will help in making the students ready like never before.
1. What are the timings of NEET-UG 2018?
The duration of NEET-UG 2018 will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (three hours). No candidate shall be allowed to enter after 9:30 a.m.
2. What is the Entry time at the Examination Centre?
Candidates will be allowed to enter the centre from 7:30 A.M. to keep enough time in their hands for the frisking procedure. No candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination centre after 9:30 A.M.
3. What are the things that candidates need to carry to the examination centre?
Candidates are required to carry their admit card along with two passport size photographs. One photograph will be affixed on the admit card and other on the attendance sheet. Any item other than these is not allowed inside the examination hall. A pen will be provided inside the test hall along with the question paper.
4. What is the dress code that needs to be followed while appearing for the NEET 2018 examination?
The candidates are instructed to wear light clothes with half sleeves. The clothing should not have any brooch/badge, big buttons, flowers, etc. Candidates are required to wear slippers and sandals with low heels. Shoes are not permitted inside the examination hall. In case a candidate is wearing customary clothes, they are required to report at least an hour before the last reporting time.
5. What are the items that are barred inside the examination hall?
All candidates are subjected to compulsory and extensive frisking before entering the examination hall. Highly sensitive metal detectors are used to frisk the candidates. Items like geometry box, plastic pouch, bits of paper, calculator, eraser, scale, log table, pen drive, electronic pen, etc. are not allowed inside the examination centre. In addition, candidates are also not allowed to carry any communication device like health band, microphone, pager, mobile phone, Bluetooth, etc. Apart from these, any other item that can be used for unfair means is strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
6. What happens if someone is not able to appear for the examination on the specified date? Is there a provision for a re-test?
Unfortunately, there is no re-test provision in NEET. If a candidate, due to any circumstances whatsoever is not able to appear for the exam, they shall only be able to appear for the test next year.
7. What are the qualifying marks for NEET 2018?
To qualify NEET 2018, a candidate should score the following percentile.

8. If any candidate finishes the test in less than three hours, will they be allowed to leave the examination hall?
No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hallbefore the test concludes.Candidates who finish their test earlier than the allotted time are requested to stay quite and maintain the decorum.
9. When and how will the result of NEET 2018 be declared?
The result will be declared tentatively on 5th June 2018 in an online mode. Candidates will be able to check the result using their Roll Number and Date of Birth in the given fields.
10. For how long is the result of NEET-UG, 2018 is valid?
The result of successful applicants of NEET-UG, 2018 is valid for the academic session 2018-19 only. However, from this year, the attempt limit is lifted, and the students can appear for the exam as many times as they want till the age permits.
