The Entrance Exam for the MBBS/BDS courses in India that is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate courses is going to be held on May 3, 2020 (Sunday). This is the second time the National Testing Agency will be conducting the exam. The process for application will begin from December 2 and will close on December 31. All those candidates who are interested in the same can apply at ntaneet.nic.in. All those students who have cleared class 12 are eligible to appear for the exam.
Like every year, the exam will be conducted in the offline mode containing 180 questions divided equally among Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The exam will cover both Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus of all the three subjects. The duration of the paper is 3 hours.
NEET Eligibility Criteria
The Candidates need to check out the eligibility before appearing for the NEET Examination. To be qualified for NEET 2020, the candidate should consider the following:
Nationality: Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET.
Qualification: Candidate must have qualified class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects.
Age: Candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2020. For General category candidates, the upper age is 25 years and 30 years for OBC/SC/ST categories candidates.
Percentage Required: Must have secured in Class XII, a minimum of 50% marks for General categories, 45% marks for PH & 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates in PCB group.
