The offline mode of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2017 was held on Sunday, 2nd April 2017 for admission to various engineering colleges. JEE Main is also the first roadblock for students seeking admission into IIT. The examination saw more than a million applicants. JEE Main question paper was a mixed bag with some tricky questions.
However, the JEE Main 2017 – Online mode is still pending and will be held this week on April 8th and 9th 2017. A total of 1,83,640 candidates have registered for the online mode of the exam. Be Punctual – Reach on Time
It cannot be stressed enough, but JEE Main is one of the most important exams of a student’s life, and you cannot afford to show up late. It is advisable to plan your route and start early to reach the examination center at least by an hour earlier. The gates of the examination center open at 7 AM for the first session and at 1 PM for the second session of the exam.
Sleep Well – Remember the 8 Hour Rule
The importance of a good night’s sleep is always stressed on, especially a day before the exam. Your body must be in sync with your internal circadian rhythm, and your mind must get enough rest. Do not pull an all-nighter before the exam. Start sleeping for 8 hours at least three days before the exam. Do not drink stimulants like coffee or energy drinks a night before the exam.
Stay Hydrated and Eat Healthy – Beat the Heatwave
The heatwave has commenced already, and it will be daunting especially for candidates appearing under the Batch II Timings. Carry enough water while traveling to the examination center, and eat healthy food. On the day of the exam, wear comfortable clothing, preferably cotton, and avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
Extra Days for Preparation – Review Question Paper from Offline Exam
JEE Main – Offline was held on 2nd April 2017, and the Offline Mode will be held on 8th and 9th April 2017. This one week of advantage can be channeled into the preparation and reviewing the Offline Mode question paper. Use Answer Editing Option – Review
In online mode of JEE Main examination, a candidate gets the opportunity to review questions and change options before final submission. Being able to change answers even after marking one can be beneficial in case of a mistake. It can save you negative marking which is decisive to your final rank. One is also able to move between questions with just a click. In a situation where you are unsure of a question, you can mark it and come back to it after finishing the other questions.
Time Managed is Time Saved
Online Mode of JEE Main lets you answer questions with just a click. Since you do not have to fill the small bubbles in the OMR sheet with a pen, it can save you the significant amount of time. This time saved can be used to review, or answer questions you have previously left. There is also a timer of the screen to keep track of time.
Total Attention – Increased Concentration
Candidates appearing for Online Mode are displayed only one question at a time. This can help them concentrate better and show undivided attention to just one question at a time. It also eliminates a panic situation.
