When it comes to NEET Exam, practice is the key to success. Below are some things you need to take care of before, during and after the exam.
Keep Your Admit Card Ready
Keep your admit card and Performa complete with the required details and affixed photograph (passport size for admit card and postcard size for Performa). You cannot enter into the examination hall without a fully filled and updated Admit Card and Performa. Also, keep extra passport size photographs which you need to submit to the Examination Hall. Check that you do not carry any barred items and your dress conforms to the NEET 2019 dress code prescribed by the NTA.
Take Healthy Food
Healthy food and good sleep are essential to fuel your brain. Go for evening walks, for recreation as well as for meditation to keep yourself stress-free. Adapt yourself and attune your body cycle in accordance with the exam schedule. Begin your day early, have your breakfast and sit to take your NEET 2019 practice test like you would do on your NEET 2019 Exam Day.
Revise Only What is Required
Read and revise only NCERT. Toppers, teachers, examiners and experts, all advice that NCERT is enough for NEET 2019 preparation. Do not add up to last moment pressure and confusion by going through any extra books. Go through and ingrain what your teachers emphasized as important.
Recall and remember your class tests and discussions on them. Do not forget your mistakes and their corrections along with the lines of reasoning. Recollect the keyword or the key language that lead you to the identification of the concept. These small details will have a big impact on your last-minute preparation and eventually your performance in the exam.
Stay Calm
Stay Calm, Collected and composed. Do not fuss or over-think. Believe in your hard work. Stay confident and prepared.
Things to Do on The Day of NEET 2019 Exam
- The examination centre will be opened 2 hours and 30 minutes before the commencement of the NEET 2019 exam. No candidate will be allowed to enter in the examination centre after 09.30 am. Therefore, ensure that you leave home well in advance considering all facts like traffic, the location of the centre and weather conditions, etc.
- A seat with a roll number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates must find out and occupy their allotted seats immediately, as soon as they enter the examination hall.
- Admit Card is your entry ticket and identity proof for the NEET 2019 exam centre. One cannot appear for the exam without a valid Admit Card. It will be checked and signed by the Invigilator.
- Fill in the details on the NEET 2019 Question Paper booklet and the OMR sheet patiently and carefully. Another copy of anyone of them will not be provided if you make a mistake.
- In your own interests, do not carry any of the barred items to the NEET 2019 Examination Centre. Follow the Dress Code prescribed by the NTA.
Things to Do after the NEET 2019 Exam
- Do not discuss the paper with your friends. Do not compare your methods and answers.

- Stay updated by following the NTA NEET website for any news and announcements on 15% All India Quota counselling, and the state board website for 85% state quota counselling.
NEET 2019 Admit Card
NEET 2019 Admit cards have already been released by the NTA. Candidates who applied for the exam can now visit the website and download the admit card of NEET 2019. Candidates whose application forms were accepted by the board will only be issued the hall tickets for NEET 2019.
How to download the NEET 2019 Admit Card?
- Visit NTA NEET
- Click on ‘Admit Card NEET 2019’ under online services
- Fill in your Registration no, Date of birth and Security Pin and click on ‘Submit’
- Your admit card will appear on the screen
- Check and confirm all the details
- Save and download, take multiple printouts
NEET 2019 Exam Pattern
Before planning any strategy and schedule, one needs to be familiar with NEET 2019 Exam Pattern. It not just gives students an overview of the type of questions asked but also about the marking scheme. Based on the exam pattern of NEET 2019, candidates can make their strategies and attempt the maximum number of questions in the given time.
- The NEET 2019 Exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode.
- It will consist of 180 objective type questions and the duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
- Every correct answer will get you 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.
Practice previous year question papers. The probability of a question getting repeated is low, however, there are good chances of formats of some question types/topics to remain same.
Follow your Class teachings and class tests. Anything emphasized as important or enforced over and again by the experienced teachers has fair chances of being asked in the exam in some or the other form.
NEET 2019 Cut Off
NEET 2019 Cut off is the minimum percentile required to qualify the NEET 2019 is same as last year. The percentile is your marks relative to the highest marks scored by any candidate in the exam.
